Fall in my apartment
Fall is my favorite season, and once I had a place of my own, I’d tend to break out the decor a bit early. Like, end of August, when you’re still dripping in sweat, but trying to get by with pumpkin spice and wear a sweater in 80 degree weather.
I already had yellows in my color scheme, but threw in some burnt orange, creams and such. I put pumpkins all around - ceramic, puffy, patterned…You name it, I probably had one. I also had blankets with different textures thrown on the couch - waffle, fur, and pillows with fun sayings, as one does.
I also love a good candle - in particular, I bought the Library scent from Chip + Jo’s Magnolia at The Silos in Texas. It smelled like all the good things that fall brings.
It’s all about the mood lighting and cozy vibes. Layering books is another fun way to decorate, whether it’s a special occasion or just another Tuesday.
